Comfort in our human burrows
Concrete, wood and glass
All the home of man-built happiness
Simple shapes, quiet places

Driver comes if we make the call
Water and power are gifts from walls
Waste gets carried away to somewhere
Some turns useful, some just goes

Everything here has been alive
Moving, eating, chasing love
Glass in windows swam the oceans,
protecting tiny ancient souls

Paints and plastics, wooden walls,
even the concrete floor
Most of it flowed alive in creatures
Muscle, bone, or glistening leaves

Now we work it like beeswax sculptors
Comfort comfort, every day
All we build is dreams for dreamers
Nature never far away
