Heaven’s bent
the world’s become scent
something here I can’t prevent

Wild breaths
love’s tracks, leading to the water
Talk a mile, touch a smile, find a place to rest
Wrap around us, pull the blind, make a moment last

Loves’s light, love’s fright
singing through the fog
The rattle of the water and the hissing of the air,
all the rolling of our beast against the earth
keep me longing for your spaces and
the laughing of your hair,
quiet tender naps beside your breath

Heaven’s still bent, the money well spent
days are hung up in a row
But the rumble never stopped
our time was never lost,
all the flowers and the crops have done their duty

We’ve walked our days together,
made the lovers quiet ties
We can let the days pass by now
Let the clouds rise
